September Spring

Once again I feel compelled to mention that 2012 has been a very odd growing year at Rurikia. With a bit of drought relief in the way of 5 inches of rain over 2 weeks the plants have decided it’s spring again. Weeds are sprouting in the garden, the lawn grass has turned green again and is growing half an inch a day, many of the trees are putting on new growth, and the moonglow pear has even decided to bloom.
