Through the Camera: Portrait of a bee

When I took one of my shirts off the clothesline today I noticed a bee had chosen to make it it’s final landing place.  I had wanted to try focus stacking for a while, and this gave an excellent opportunity to do so. After downloading a trial version of Helicon software and getting the hang of it, I was able to obtain these two shots of the (sadly dead) bee – but I doubt a live one would have stayed still long enough for me to have gotten the shots.
